A lot of restaurants in the area close quite early but this place takes last orders at 9pm so we were able to get a slightly late dinner here. Was pleasantly surprised by all dishes ordered as everything was quite tasty and we finished everything off. I would personally recommend the fried oyster mushrooms and kimchi, and the noodles were enjoyable too. The cauliflower and angus beef are on the slightly sweeter side, and generally most of the dishes would probably pair better eaten with lots of white rice. Overall pleased with the visit, as the service was good too.
This place was fantastic. People that had a long wait maybe came during an incredibly busy time? We were seated right away, checked in on multiple times (service a little more American style) and had our meals in 20 minutes or so. Mongolian Beef and friend noodles were our favorites. Top two meal I had in New Zealand (we did both north and South Island over 2.5 weeks).
Had the Mongolian beef wok noodles and they were phenomenal. I’d disagree with other reviewers saying is salty. I put a dab of soy on mine to up the salinity. Definitely a don’t miss place to eat if in the area.
The place to be at in case you would like to have some Asian Fusion food!! Great dumplings and Wok tossed noodles. Do not miss out on the Crispy eggplant!
As soon as we walked into this quaint establishment we were greeted warmly and shown to our table which we reserved prior. Once seated we were advised that a better table had opened up on the balcony with a front row view of the mountains (stunning! Our server was attentive and friendly, he knew the specials off the top of his head and also remembered our big order without writing it down as well!! We were amazed at the tasty food and variety. Every dish had its own flavour and quality with good sized servings. One of the best dumplings I’ve ever had. Also recommend the Mongolian beef and pork char siu.
