The Coffee Shack Wanaka

The Coffee Shack is perfectly located by the park and waterfront. The coffee and espresso are milder in taste lower bitterness, lower acidity, and very low sourness. Surprisingly they offered drip coffee, which I enjoyed a cup of. Some little pastries were available too but if you need something more filling there is a crepe stall neighboring the Shack. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Sit there (outside only) or take away you won’t be disappointed!

Excellent place. Totally see why everyone in town recommends it. Just a beautifully done flat white with macadamia milk. Milk froth and espresso pull are *chef’s kiss*. Now my top place in Wanaka by far!

Best coffee we’ve had on our holiday in South Island, and friendly staff!

If there were more stars I would definitely give them. I had a mocha and was indeed one of the best I’ve ever had (and I am a coffee lover). The staff was extremely lovely. My friends didn’t exaggerate when they’ve said it’s the best coffee in Wanaka and I should definitely go! I recommend it from the bottom of my heart! Definitely see you again on my next visit to Wanaka!
