The portion sizes were quite generous, and I especially enjoyed the unique experience of dining next to the heliport.
I'm glad this restaurant is now open for dinner. It's no longer a Chinese restaurant called Red Pocket, but rather a typical Crowne Plaza restaurant serving average food. My steak was overcooked even though I ordered it medium, and the crumble topping was more like oatmeal or granola. It was okay, but nothing exceptional.
I have visited this restaurant a few times, and they accept the Taste Card, which offers 50% off food from Sunday to Thursday. Otherwise, this restaurant can be quite expensive. The dim sum, priced at £14 for 8 pieces, is fantastic. I recommend trying the stir-fried dishes, as they are superior. The portion sizes are not large, and the desserts are subpar, consisting of overly sweet frozen items. The service is average. The restaurant appears to be quiet on weekdays, with typically no more than 5 diners, likely all using the Taste Card.
Lovely food in great surroundings. Good discount if staying at the hotel but a bit pricey if you are not.
Lovely and friendly staff, food is the best I have tasted for a very long time, stayed at the hotel for business and would happily recommend this restaurant to anyone .
