Popping through there yesterday was surprisingly worth while . Met by a friendly host!! Aucklanders looking for a real coffee and as promised was a great one at that. Great experience

Been through ownership changes and such. But as of recent trip was really impressed. Had a burger and fries. Was really impressed with the burger patty think stop store bought but thick and juicy. Also have pies and other yummy baked good bought myself a brownie but left it on the counter very disappointed when we found that out 20 min later down the road. Will be stopping here again.

I just visited the café and found it to be clean and welcoming. The display case had some delicious treats, and the menu offered decent food options. I ordered a beef burger, which was quite basic, but for a simple burger, I’d give it a 10/10—tasty and fresh. The chips were perfectly fried, crispy on the outside and beautifully potatoey on the inside, with a hint of paprika sprinkled on top of the salt. The loaded wedges were enjoyable too, featuring actual mozzarella cheese (which might look a bit unusual if you’re not expecting it). The only downside was the limited choice of cold drinks, but perhaps it was just a gap between deliveries.

We were already aware that the beef burgers are fantastic, and the creamy mushrooms certainly lived up to expectations as well. It's great Kiwi cuisine with that little extra touch that makes it stand out. We’ll definitely be returning; this will be our new go-to spot for family road trips.
