Thai Villa - Wanganui

The best Thai food I had so far. My friend and I discovered this place and we'll both go back to Wanganui to eat again. The muted cantons where the nicest I tried, and I will remember the dumplings. I also had the Chili Paste stir fry incredibly delicious. I can't wait to return to try other goodies on their good menu. Large portion size for the amount calculated and large service also.

We went there for the final night of our stay in Whanganui with our daughter's family. The atmosphere was great and the staff were welcoming and helpful. A huge. menu from starters to the desserts. We all unanimously agreed that the honey Coast duck was the answer, so all ordered it. I reckon that the chef was on form. All of the meals were cooked and presented the same. They came out still sizzling. The duck was superb with the meat tender and delicious and the skin was crackly. The meat nestled on a huge pile of excellently cooked fresh vegetables. Everything was amazing, but the honey sauce just outdid it all!. The roti, the moneybags, and the prawn twists were lovely, but all were outclassed by the sauces. That, to me, is the key to great food. The service was quick and friendly. We didn't have a lot of room left for dessert but managed to attack a sundae. Lovely again with a yummy chocolate sauce. Thanks guys, you made our final night in Whanganui a night to remember! We will be back.

Excellent meal, fresh and delicious at a great price. Service was gracious and attentive. Absolutely recommend.

We don't have a lot of nice Asian restaurants in Whanganui and this would be the best in town, the atmosphere is comfortable and food are delicious they do have a very wide range of food for you to select. The owner is very nice and helpful, if you are thinking of birthday dinner or gathering, this place is the best place in town.
