Hotel Hanken - Wangerooge

On a busy night, we were pleased to be able to get a table here and were impressed by the very quick and attentive service. We tried the special, with three different types of fried fish - very nice. The little carafes of wine each were a nice touch. Whilst this is a much larger restaurant than many on the island, we still had to book ahead. Yes, it is a bit 1970s in decor, but the quality of the food was the memory that lingered. We also enjoyed the Rote Gruetze and the Sauer Kirsche with ice cream for pudding.

Hier kann man sehr lecker essen und sich wohlfühlen. Ein weiterer großer Pluspunkt ist, dass man auf der Terrasse rauchen darf, danke!

Wir fahren seit 9 Jahren auf die Insel und das Essen im Hanken hat immer einen gleichbleibend guten Standard. Die Portionen sind ausreichend groß, die Speisenauswahl ist sehr gut, die Qualität einwandfrei. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Ein Besuch im Hanken kann ich nur empfehlen.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und trotz fehlender Reservierung doch noch irgendwo untergebracht. Auch für Sonderwünsche an die Küche war man offen und in kurzer Zeit kam das sehr gute Essen. insgesamt ein sehr gelungener Abend
