I found the cannoli cupcake to be dry and stale, and the wait time was excessively long. I had to wait for a fresh pot of coffee to be brewed before I could receive assistance. It would have been better if they had moved some guests to the side to help the next person in line and expedite the service. Regarding their mask policy, it seemed inconsistent; while the front-of-house staff were wearing masks, the staff in the back did not.
When I picked up my order, I was pleasantly surprised to find they had included garlic bread after all! It was delicious! The standout feature here is the homemade quality of everything—every item I tried, including the salad, was fantastic. The owner is very welcoming, greeting every customer and asking how everyone is doing, which made for a lovely experience. I definitely plan to return to try the eggplant parmesan sometime. Thank you for the garlic bread!
The owners are genuinely Italian; we even overheard them speaking Italian to each other, which really means a lot to us. We often get disappointed when we discover that the owners of Italian restaurants aren’t actually Italian. Unfortunately, there are quite a few Italian places in the area that are owned by non-Italian people. But we’re happy to report that this restaurant is the real deal, run by a husband and wife team and their family. They were incredibly friendly, taking the time to chat with us and get to know us a little. When we left, it truly felt like we had made friends with them. Overall, it was a wonderful experience with amazing food. We were so delighted that we can’t wait to return to Mamma Musetti's. I also want to mention that our food was packaged nicely in a sturdy box, making it easy to take to the car. The box kept everything hot, and when we got home, everything was perfect. It's the little details that really make a difference. This has become our new go-to spot. Ron and Lisa.
When I went to pick up our order, everything seemed fine until I saw the bill. They had added the Osso Bucco to our Friday’s takeout order, which brought the total for three dinners to over $70. This was our first time ordering from them, so it was disappointing to encounter this. We brought the food home, excited for dinner, only to discover that the sauce for the chicken parm was missing. The breaded chicken was not pounded thin, making it tough, and the pasta soaked up all the tomato sauce, resulting in an unsatisfactory meal. The lasagna was acceptable, but the Tiramisu, advertised on their website for $4, was charged at $5.50 per slice and was underwhelming. On Saturday, after our first experience, I hoped for better when I picked up the Osso Bucco. Unfortunately, I was disheartened when I got home. What I received for $25 was a dry lamb shank served over canned green beans and risotto rice on the bottom. I tried to capture the moment with a photo, but my phone camera seemed to refuse. In summary, I would advise saving your money. If I hadn’t been misled into paying for Saturday’s meal on Friday, I would have skipped the disappointment. This experience has left me frustrated, and I feel that if there are issues to address, they should take honest feedback seriously. I've never experienced a sauce just disappearing like that before, and it felt as though I had been misled. Take it as constructive criticism and work to improve your food; it has the potential to be much better!
