Had dinner here two nights in a row. Although the service was quite slow the first night, the second night, with Michael, was fabulous! Even better was the food. The fish tacos are the best I've ever had. Kudos to the chef! So sad that Kahneeta is closing after Labor Day. If you get a chance, be sure to visit before it's gone.
Meh...server was nice, food was meh. Would be a good one for Gordon to visit, be fun to watch him try some of the food that was brought out.
Tonight was a great dining experience. Service was very friendly and welcoming, and our waiter had a great personality. I had the (wild! salmon, which was excellently prepared and perfectly seasoned. Asparagus was perfectly cooked, and I asked for the roasted fingerlings to sub for the heavier risotto, which wasn't a problem at all, and was a delicious alternative. Yum! The fry bread that we had for a starter was a delish splurge; the huckleberry jam is fantastic. My daughter loved her super cheesy grilled cheese sandwich, and the accompanying tomato soup. My niece had a beautiful fruit cup alongside her PB J (more huckleberry jam! , and my mom and sister both enjoyed their dishes too. Prices were very reasonable.
The morning we were there, it took a while to be seated to have our order taken received, but they were pretty busy we weren't in a hurry. The view out the windows of the restaurant are breathtaking I was happy to sit there longer to take it in lol Both mine my husband's breakfasts were excellent. I don't know what kind of wheat bread they use for their toast, but one of the best I've had. And the huckleberry jam...to die for! Will definitely go back, hopefully soon!
