There square Pizza far cry from the Deep Crust that isn't today's Pizza at Buddy's. Me and friend orderd small size Vegetarian, to split. Hardly any sauce, miniscule amount of Toppings, thin crust, not thick like expected. Done eating there, forever more.
Decided to pick up some lunch to take back to hotel after a funeral. It was nostalgia for me; I remembered eating at the original Buddy’s on Conant/6mi as a child growing up. It was my husband’s first time! The Carry-Out ladies were so nice helpful. The food was amazing!!!! I ordered the 8-slice to take some back home the Greek salad was awesome, as well. So glad they are still as good as I remembered!!!
Ate there recently and it was by far even worst pizza that I have had in many years. It was basically a piece of bread with very little sauce and even less in the way of toppings. I was only able to barley eat one slice. I decided to cut my losses pay my bill and leave. Very disappointing. Bottom line your paying for the name not the food. I'll never eat there again and hopefully be able to make sure that my friends don't make the same mistake
Service and atmosphere are good but the pizza just isn't anywhere near the level of the pizza from the original Buddy's location or the Dearborn one from when I was growing up circa 15+ years ago. I'm not sure if it's the location or just that times have changed. I would say jets deep dish is as good or better than this location. I'm not sure what it's missing.
