Wonton soup with mushy wontons and bits of grizzle, scallion pancakes with two or three minuscule scallion shreds. If it had flavor, that would be a plus. People on the east Bay find this stuff incredible. Welcome to a mass produced waste of money.
Some things have definitely changed since I was last at luke's, but they've still got quality Chinese food (and drinks) for a great price. Servers are very quick and attentive- very glad I visited again and will certainly be back
We ate at Luke 's on a quiet weeknight. We were seated right away and the waitress was very friendly. The cocktail was overly sweet and not well balanced. We ordered an appetizer and three entrees expecting to enjoy the appetizer first and then the entrees. They all arrived at once. The dumplings were slightly less than room temperature when they should have been steaming hot. We sent them back. Only one of our entrees was hot, the lo mein was also barely warm certainly not above the 140 degrees for food safety purposes. We ordered the General Tso 's spicy , but when it arrived it was also not hot and certainly not spicy. The beef dish was hot and flavorful. I will not recommend this restaurant to friends especially because of the food safety issue over food not above 140 degrees.
Very salty dishes , loaded with soy sauce . Nothing to say much . Service was .... Dark old and dated .
One of those old school Chinese/Polynesian restaurants that you don't see any more, which is reason enough to go there. The food is delicious and if you're into tiki drinks, you're going to think you died and went to heaven.
