Contribuisci feedback1st time here. Happy to see Dim Sum. The fried shrimp eggroll was perfect. The shimp Was done perfectly and the egg roll wrapper was nice and crispy. We ordered the beef Chow he fun as it has always been a family favorite at other restaurants and the Mu shu Shrimp .... It took a very long time for food to come to the table. the Beef in the chow fun was tender but there was not much there. The noodles were clumped together and they tasted more of oil than beef sauce. the noodles were tender, but there was very little flavor beyond the oil. The Mu Shu Shrimp came with small flour tortillas. Not the tender chinese pancakes that they are served with at other restaurants. Overall disappointed. Had so much hope.
The food was okay but nothing to write home about. General Tsos needed more salt and more sauce over the chicken. Crab Rangoon was perfect which is the only thing I'll give this place. It's pricey for what it is. I would skip personally.
We've eaten twice at the new Lotus Garden Restaurant. It was delicious both times. We really liked their fried shrimp rolls. We also liked the General Tao's chicken and the sweet and sour shrimp. We'll definitely return for more.
We finally had the opportunity to try the new Lotus Garden Chinese restaurant. We had been patrons of the old location for many years and enjoyed many meals there. To begin with I will say that if you are hoping to find your favorite items cooked and presented the way they used to be at the old location you will probably be disappointed. It seems that then only thing that is the same about the new location is the Name! Which really makes me wonder, why would you open a new restaurant with the same name as the old, established restaurant if you did not intend to offer a similar menu? I get the impression that the new owners (I say that they are new because we did not see any of the old LG employees at the new location), kept the name in order to benefit from the good will of the closed location, but never intended to copy the same menu items. I think it would have been better if they had just opened under a different name so that people would not be expecting to find their old favorites. Although the food was good, we were disappointed that none of our old favorite items were the same. The only thing that was close to the old LG was the egg rolls, but they were not as good or as big. The wonton soup was very different, smaller bowl, different wontons which did not appear to be house made, and missing the big chunks of pork. The broth was bland and we had to send the soup back as it was barely warm. Our favorite, the War Sue Gai was completely different than the old recipe and not anywhere as good. The fried rice was just ok. Nothing we ate was terrible, but nothing we ate said Lotus Garden! It only took one visit to find out that the food was nothing like the old location. So much for living off the reputation.
I really wanted to like this restaurant. I grew up going to the original. I took my two kids for dinner. They do not have any kids menu so everything's like $15 at least per person. We waited for an hour for our food. The potstickers were like plastic. The wonton soup had too much of a pork flavor. The spring rolls were good. We tried a lot of things and the flavor just wasn't the best. The chicken was over cooked. I've never left a bad review but I spent a lot of money for not great food. The waiter ask if we wanted boxes and I said no. He looked at us strange probably because of all the food left on our plates. He asked if we liked it and I politely said no. He just said sorry and brought us the bill.
