Went for Sunday brunch, and there was a loud classic rock music blaring from the kitchen. Not at all what I would qualify as appropriate for a high-end brunch!! Waitress did a great job, but I feel the kitchen staff were struggling mightily. Food was not great. Eggs Benedict is made with poached eggs and a runny yellow center. That is not what came to the table. My dish was also supposed to have eggs made in a similar fashion, my food was also not made properly. Both dishes were supposed to come with fried potatoes, they were obviously in the deep fryer much, much longer than they should've been. Crispy potatoes doesn't mean black, burnt and hardly edible. I would not recommend.
I had the clams pasta. And Panna cotta. The pasta was excellent. But the Panna Cotta was like a pudding with strawberry gel on top. Not the quality you would expect from a restaurant of this quality. The rest of the food was excellent
Our stay in Indianapolis at the JW Marriott was enhanced by the proximity of the OP Italian Restaurant, as it is located on property with the JW. This was no “hotel” restaurant, but a truly enjoyable dining experience. Our stay was for a week, and in that time we ate here on 4 different occasions. Each and every time was terrific. The food was exceptional and the staff were professional, prompt and courteous. Whether you're staying at the JW or not, I highly recommend you stop in for an excellent dining experience. Great food, atmosphere, service...this spot is a must go. Should we come back to Indy...we'll be back! Food eaten during our stay: braised short rib gnocchi, Italian chop salad w/salmon, potato soup, cauliflower soup, lasagna, garlic bread, cesar salad, calamari...all food was great! Staff shout-outs and mentions: Logan (who requested the review), Hector, Deidra, Elena, BIG thanks to Amal who was there each time we dined...so friendly and so professional.
Had dinner at OP Italian two nights in a row. GF pasta, roasted chicken the first night. Salmon and filet the second. Appetizers and dressing night. Good was delicious. Servers were excellent both nights.
