We enjoyed chocolate mousse and espresso on the outside terrace with our golden retriever, Brita, joining in on the celebration. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and we appreciated the dog-friendly atmosphere. The views of the Schroon River added to the beautiful evening, and we were grateful for the option to bring Brita along instead of leaving her in the hot car. Overall, it was a pleasant and unforgettable experience for all!
Chef Adam, a CIA-trained chef from Hyde Park, NY, runs a formal restaurant with excellent food quality. The dishes are creatively presented and taste just as good as they look. I enjoyed the cute meadow goat cheese baked cherry with toast points, as well as the solitary bounced thunfischtare over Soba noodles. My husband tried the skillfully prepared duck jams and loved it. The drinks were also carefully crafted and as delicious as the food. This restaurant is the best in the Adirondacks by far. Highly recommended for a fun and delicious dining experience.
The grist mill is always a place we visit when in the lake george area. eating, waiter, cook and atmosphere are all absolutely excellent. everyone and everything is excellent because they do not know any other way to run a restaurant business. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits the opposite. they will not be disappointed!
Beautiful little land restaurant. we visited early november in lake george, a strange time since many places for the season were closed. managed to find grist mill and book a book here for our jubiläum. had garnelen fatty succines, which was tasty, garnel was nicely grilled and were so juicy with taste. we had Caesar salad that was fresh and crisp and a foie-grass dish. the foie gras was ok, it came with other small sides that do not really supplement the court. we had a sweet place down at the fireplace. there is a restaurant in the upper floor where you can see the schroon river. Overall, our best culinary experience was that they were close to lake george in terms of food quality and the charm, as we felt that there was too much pub food in the city.
For a random restaurant in the region lake george has this place really, really good eating. my wife and I were here on a date night. She has the night.
