Pippies by the Bay - Warrnambool

A girls weekend destination must with a great view over the Maritime Museum and water although the weather was horrible the night we visited. A wide selection on the menu. The food was very good including a blast from the past - ye olde seafood cocktail served in a fantastic plate with wide sides and a bowl in the middle. Just enough dressing coated the prawns, scallops and crab in the dish. The scallops and pasta special of the day were also very well received. The waiters were very friendly but a bit all over the shop with their attention. Happy to go back again and try this place out again.

Situated beside the Flagstaff Hill Maritime Museum, we visited Pippies for coffee and the best vanilla slices I've ever tasted. Back for dinner the following night which wasn't huge in size but the quality was brilliant....so much so that we had to go back for dessert after the night show at the museum!Dessert was a gooey centred chocolate pudding with pistachio icecream. OMG! I haven't tasted food this good in a very long time. The atmosphere was comfortable and staff friendly. The price was a little expensive but so worth every cent. Highly recommend.

Had a lovely lunch with friends. Everyone enjoyed their meals from seafood crepe to home made roast lamb pie. Service was attentive. Our only complaint from 6 of us were the chairs. They were the most uncomfortable chairs we've ever sat in & the wrong height for the tables. Seriously puts us off wanting to go back

Very welcoming. Fantastic views overlooking the bay and Flagstaff hill. We were treated to a rainbow on the horizon that remained for most of our meal.Lovely and warm during winter. Meals were delicious and presented well. Friendly staff. We didn't have a booking however it is a very popular venue so don't leave it to chance.

Ok so I loved pippies originally then my friend got married there.... And the lady behind the bar ( not sure if owner or manager) was so rude to guests the bride and staff! In front of all of us.. We didn't even get the food we where ment to there where alot of issues...... I waited a few months before giving it another go maybe they where a bit flustered... So headed in for lunch.. Wasn't to busy 3-4 small tables and we ordered the lady that took our order my friend asked for gf she seemed annoyed with this.. She brought our meal out and we requested sauce her reaction she seemed very bothered by us asking for it no smiles. We ordered gf cake after lunch asked for two spoons... She brought one we asked for another and again was not impressed about our request.. We where going to order coffees.. We didn't see the waitress again so we ended up going elsewhere for coffee :(
