Despite the early hour, there was a steady stream of customers, which is always a positive sign. We also purchased some delicious Portuguese cake and mini chicken pies to take away. Overall, we highly recommend this place.
This charming cafe is just a short 10-15 minute walk from Warwick Castle. They offer great value lunch options and we noticed they also have reasonably priced breakfasts, including a vegetarian option. The cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating, and we opted to sit outside in the surprisingly warm November sunshine. Despite being located on a busy road, it's a great spot for people-watching and there were plenty of dog walkers enjoying their time outside, with water provided for their furry companions. We were pleased with the food, especially the Portuguese juices and delicious coffee. The Portuguese rolls were light and fluffy, and the custard tarts were enjoyable. The staff, while young, were friendly and managed well during a busy Saturday afternoon, although the tables could have been cleared a bit quicker. Parking is limited outside, but there is nearby street parking available on Broad Street and Cherry Street, which is free for a couple of hours. We definitely plan on returning!
The staff at this restaurant is friendly and welcoming, and there are indoor and outdoor dining options available. The coffee is great and the pastries are delicious. The occasional tapas evenings also seem promising.
