This is my 2nd weekend of coming here, last Saturday it was filthy, tables were disgusting with plates and empty glasses on and sticky, was passing today so thought we would give it another chance and it was worse!! Never been in such a dirty...pub in all my life. Ordered food and the halloumi fries were over cooked, pizza was under cooked and plastered in tomato purée.. won’t be visiting again!!
We have eaten in Wetherspoons innumerable times over the years when travelling in the UK. Tonite was an experience. Saturday nite in a Uni town!!! What can we say. Loud, boisterous folks, many of them with too much to drink and not enough to eat,...which doesn 't explain the lack of fish for f&c!! In any event, we are older and did the same thing when we were their age! The staff treated us well and upgraded our dinner! No worries, we will always return to them, but perhaps not again on a Saturday night!! '
We went on Friday lunchtime, the staff were very jovial . We had a mixed grill that was brilliant, it was nice that it wasn't crowded with too many tables, squashed together.
I have visited many Wetherspoons pubs across England this has got to be one of the nicest I have visited. At 5pm on a Friday teatime the pub was busy but comfortable, seats available and several helpful staff behind the bar serving. Food was ordered...and arrived promptly. A very nice open, airy pub off the Main Street.
