In fact, it seems they no longer serve any lobster dishes at all, but the menu still lists them. The girl who answered the phone (with a strong New York accent) was curt, almost rude. This used to be our favorite Chinese restaurant, but now I'm thinking about finding a new one.
As soon as you walk into Nostalgia, you're hit with the familiar scent of an old Chinese restaurant and the vintage decor. The drink menu is extensive and affordable, which is a nice bonus. I began my meal with the Hot and Sour soup, and it was delicious! The appetizers were fresh, flavorful, and served piping hot—absolutely fantastic. The Chicken Chow Mein was freshly prepared and very tasty. Our waitress was attentive and gave excellent recommendations, although she was a bit busy, which made the service a little slow. Overall, I had a great experience with wonderful food and good service. I will definitely be coming back!
This is an excellent spot for delicious Chinese cuisine. The service is consistently fast and attentive. The drinks from the bar are superb and well worth the price. It's my go-to restaurant whenever I'm craving Chinese food.
Service is great! We love the waitresses here. The setup isn't bad either. It's comfortable seating. There's certain things we get here and ones we don't. I'm a fan of their rice and beef teriyaki. Not so much the Rangoon though. I would like to see more dumplings for the price too. Overall a decent Chinese restaurant but not my favorite.
My go to place for Chinese food that I remember from many years ago. Some restaurants seem to have forgotten the flavoring that attracted American families. Fast service, pleasant waitresses and the best mai tais. I recommend the double....soups are great but my favorite is wonton. Wontons are never overcooked or rubbery like some places that leave them in a warming pot. Big fan of the duck and they offer it in a few different ways. Tried a lot of dishes, and never had one that I didn't like although I usually get the Chicago pork chow main. Egg foo young is another of my favorites. Portion sizes are big: always enough for later when hunger hits. They do a brisk takeout business, especially weekends. Definitely worth the trip from Smithfield. And now I'm talking myself into a visit!
