I had the lamb masala with Indian yellow rice for net and vegetarian somosa for entree. very tasty. the only way was the service that was bad to say the least....so important in a restaurant. the service at one and only waitress was robotic and impersonal, who used ouromonly the shrub on the table and left. Do not try to get a help with the menu....you get no! it was like to draw. twice I had to leave the table to look for the waitress to ask for dingen. I'm not sure if at a later time I will try again to see if the dinge have a better service.
We love Indian food we love the aromas, spices, tastes We like to taste the spice behind the heat so the heat's not what it's all about for us .... The Delights of India we believed we'd found the best Indian in Warwick maybe...on The Darling Downs And we were right. We've been back several times and choosing this restaurant for special occasions like birthdays and even Christmas Eve ... we've ordered Butter Chicken (Mild) Chicken breast fillets marinated with the spices and cooked in tandoori oven and touch of cashew nut sauce and cream $14.99 Chicken Korma (Mild) Specially for mild lovers a creamy sauce with onion, garlic and cashews $14.99 Totally satisfying, Winning dish is Malai Kofta (Mild) Grated vegetables, blended together with spices and kneaded to form balls, which are simmered in a butter sauce $13.99 better than any Indian we've had anywhere else. Seriously. The naan bread is fresh and tasty, but it's not puffy and light, but still better than the store bought naan breads available. The raita is perfection; light, creamy, zesty, very fresh. Saffron rice expertly cooked, every grain separate and tasting of saffron, fresh cloves and fresh cardamon; I think only one serve needed They ask what heat you'd prefer We enjoy the dining in experience and choose to dress up for the occasion at this restaurant we're very happy with the excellences here. We look forward to our next dining experience
Good service quick and pleasant staff. The food was very tasty but I should have ordered medium heat as the mild tasted more like a carrot and coriander soup with little spice, I had to steal some of my partners hot curry and add to...mine so it tasted more like curry. We did enjoy our meal and would return.
We love Indian food we love the tantalising aromas, spices, tastes, taking you in different directions. We like to taste the spice behind the heat, so the heat's not what it's all about for us. We'd found a great place in Ipswich, but after...some serious food poisoning from there we hadn't ventured into an Indian restaurant for many many months. But you can't give up when it's something you love so back into it at the Delights of India. And after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor we believed we'd found the best Indian. And we were right. Take aways for us. From phone order to delivery, only 20 minutes! WOW! They offer value packs we opted for the couple pack, where you get a choice of 2x curries, 2x saffron rice, your choice of naan bread and some pappadums, delivered, for $45. Great price right? Timing was exceptional. Service on the phone and by the food courier also exceptional. Now for the food: YUM! We've been back twice first time we ordered Mango Chicken and Beef Korma. Totally satisfying, lots of creamy sweet mango flavoured sauce with tender delectable chicken morsels. The beef korma, also melt in the mouth beef cubes in a saucy spicy fresh fragrant sauce. Winning dishes, better than any Indian we've had anywhere else. Seriously. The naan bread is fresh and tasty, but it's not puffy and light, but still better than the store bought naan breads available. The raita is perfection; light, creamy, zesty, very fresh. Saffron rice expertly cooked, every grain separate and tasting of saffron, fresh cloves and fresh cardomon; I think only one serve needed but the extra portion is eaten following day with leftovers, so no big issue... Second time we'd ordered Butter Chicken (what else do Aussies order? and Beef Rogan Josh. Extremely delicious! Both melt in the mouth meats, they simply dissolve in your mouth with their tenderness. Lots of sauce; the butter chicken just subtly sweet and nutty, the roghan josh with a back heat that creeps up on you after you savour the fresh spices and herbs we could taste a lot of coriander in tonight's rogan josh, a bonus for me but not for hubby who's not into it so much, but he still loved the savoury sauce for the beef. They ask what heat you'd prefer so you're on a winner to please all palates. You're on a winner as soon as you decide to dine here! Our next aim is to actually make it INTO the restaurant, but so far we're very happy with the excellent takeaways from here. Go again? Ah, a big YES!
Good place for a meal in warwick! eating was good and service ok. just a little cold inside. in any case a good alternative for the city and open on Monday too.
