Expensive, but high-quality. But what do you really need? $18.00 for a 14 oz latte with a 3d shot, and an almond croissant. I felt indulged, but a little robbed. If the staff were a little bit more interested in the (few) customers rather than chatting noisily with each other, it might have felt worth it. High ceilings, a little cavernous. Overall a little chilly. Better experiences available within walking distance. Good soundtrack. BTW, I’ve been to several Blue Bottles in Cali.
If I were to go to Blue Bottle for a coffee in D.C near the waterfront. I would choose to go here than the one in Georgetown. the one on M St. is crowded, always crowded, people who are working people who are just talking visitors. Whereas this location serves a local vibe with outside sitting (minimal), and super clean inside, not as big as the one in Georgetown*. You won't see the water but you will see the seagulls lol. you get the Wharf/Brooklyn vibes here.
Surprisingly expensive coffee for a non sizable portion, WiFi is horrendously bad. What’s happening to the world! Not the greatest cafe, but with coffee shops barring laptop usage entirely gobsmacking! it’s not beyond the pale (yet). I prefer the Georgetown location. Location and ambience is good.
Bad service, cashier never asked about whether I wanted a cold or hot coffee she just gave a cold coffee. It happened to the previous customer as well. To expensive for receiving something I did not ask for and bad attention $7+ dollar
