Contribuisci feedbackAs a restaurant owner, you should at least inform customers about wait times. Dine-in customers should take priority over mobile delivery orders. After waiting for 25 minutes, I was told my order would be ready in 5 minutes, yet it ended up taking another 20 minutes. Waiting 51 minutes for steamed crabs and shrimp is absolutely outrageous. To top it off, when I requested a refund because I no longer had time to eat, my request was denied. This behavior is unacceptable, disrespectful, and frankly disgusting. It’s disappointing because I used to support this restaurant, but I will not return to any Crab Boss locations again. I've also contacted American Express regarding this issue. You can’t keep both my money and the food. This is unacceptable.
Now, here’s my honest breakdown: the customer service was quite poor. Aside from the bartender, no one else acknowledged us until the owner and his wife eventually came around to talk to everyone. By then, we had been waiting 30 minutes for the crab fries and an hour for our tacos. The food was just okay, but the drinks were good. I was taken aback when the owner finally approached us; it was a very brief interaction. Then, a large group of six or more college students (who were Caucasian) came in, and he greeted them warmly, welcomed them, asked if it was their first visit, and promised to take good care of them. Later, a white couple arrived, and he engaged them in a conversation for about 10-15 minutes. I couldn’t help but wonder why he didn’t extend the same courtesy to everyone. Additionally, the prices advertised on Instagram were completely different from what we were charged at the restaurant. The owner had listed $10 frozen margaritas, $10 tacos, and a few other options, yet we ended up being billed almost $200 for our meal, which definitely wasn’t worth it. We won’t be returning. It seems like the staff prioritizes entertaining their family and friends over the actual customers who come to support the business.
My post should have read: It is a disappointment! I received cold and hard hush puppies, hard fries, was charged for coleslaw they didn't have and an 18% gratuity-for what was UNEATABLE food!
If you ordered this off the menu, they didn 't have it. If you ordered that off the menu, they didn 't have it. I 'm like damn what do you mofos have besides water? Sheesh! The crab boss in DC ain 't it for me
Just sat down and well, let's see what the food do... I asked for a gin and tonic and they only have rail gin. So they don't have a full bar... they don't have coke or lemonade so forget about it LOL! Are they serious!!! They only have Coke Zero lol lol. So I ordered fried whiting with fries and hush puppies. The food was good, it was seasoned really well and the pieces were big. It was a good portion for everything.The customer service is a joke. I had to ask for napkins and utensil's, which I ended up eating with my fingers the entire time. No refill on water ....
