I’m thrilled to have discovered this pasta place at Union Market! I ordered the spinach fusilli with grilled vegetables and alfredo sauce. Even though it was a bustling Wednesday lunch hour, my food arrived in just 10 minutes. One of the highlights of my experience was watching the fresh pasta dough being extruded from the pasta machine. The menu offered a wide variety of options, and I’m really happy with my vegetarian-friendly carb choice.
This restaurant used to be good, but now it's really disappointing. I paid $50 for overcooked pasta and garlic bread that didn’t even taste like garlic bread.
This place was so yum and in the middle of the Union Market food hall.I split the sandwich and salad with a friend, and the photos are the halved portions (aka you get a lot of food). The salad was delicious, there was only one piece of mozzarella but it was salty and gooey. The tomatoes were very fresh. The sandwich was amazing definitely was fresh bread and the pesto was great. It definitely hit the spot and I would come back!
There is no doubt that the pasta and the different sauces are great and better than in many Italian restaurants in DC.This said, the attitude of the staff is disappointing. Not pleasant or polite. I understand they are quite busy but at the price they charge for just pasta, respect could be the least they could add to the service. For me it is simple: no courtesy no tips, even more as I am handed a box and then have to search for an empty table to eat.
