Emmy Squared Pizza Navy Yard

We visited on a dark and stormy weeknight, and the restaurant was pretty quiet with only a few patrons. I mistakenly marked our OpenTable reservation as an Anniversary, and the staff went above and beyond, treating us to champagne and a complimentary dessert after our meal. We've dined at Emmy's before, and the pizza is fantastic. It features a Detroit-style crispy crust that we love. We ordered a Caesar salad and the Hawaiian-style pizza (don't judge me), but all the pizzas we've tried here are excellent. The Caesar salad is well-prepared, complete with anchovies, and it’s not drenched in dressing. The drinks at the bar are delicious. Although the wine cellar was out of some bottles we wanted, the house pours were quite good. I definitely recommend checking it out!

It was my first time trying Detroit pizza and I enjoyed it. The service was very accommodating and look forward to going back the next time I am in the Navy Yard area.

The pizza was really good. But the atmosphere and drinks don’t feel like they are worth the price. It took us over 20 minutes to get drinks for a table of 7. And it was not a busy evening. We ordered dinner before the drinks arrived. It would make a much better lunch spot than dinner for the cost and ambiance.

Very nice place. Great Detroit style pizza...just like home.
