It’s just not worth it. That avocado toast should not be more than $12 for a full serving. And no smoothie should be $16 bucks with little to no flavor (and I speak specifically for the Dragonberry smoothie). Will not be returning, but if you don’t mind overpriced goods, you’ll probably love it.
Having come only to test their acai Bowl I am not disappointed. Unfortunately, there is not a huge selection of restaurants to find this type of product in Washington DC. It is not explicitly written but can be found under the name antidetoxbowl. For the drink I took a hot tea, the choice is not huge but the royal tea was good. To finish I could also test the avocado toast and it is just as good as elsewhere but not better. Service was fast and kind.
FRUITIVE, is an organic, vegan, mostly take-a-way eatery. Fruitive opened it 's door in 2012, when Gregg Rozeboom created a place where his family could come and enjoy a healthy meal. Gregg 's tiny eatery projects a British library feel. On your left, library stacks fill the wall. Vegan treats are displayed across the center of the room. The order counter is ahead, on the far right. The librarian, cashier, and hostess, Catherine, is friendly and knowledgeable. Catherine suggested the spicy Tuscan Kale Wrap, an over-sized, whole wheat tortilla that 's stuffed with minced, organic vegetables. (butternut squash, sweet potatoes, broccoli, quinoa, garbanzo beans, caramelized onions, basil pesto mayo, hummus, black and cayenne pepper). The wrap is lightly toasted before serving. There is a large selection of vegan drinks. My choice is freshly brewed, lemon-ginger tea. The combination is quite filling and delicious. Fruitive is a compact cafe. Inside, seating is on stools, at a narrow, bar height counter, that hugs the street and patio windows. Outside, are a half dozen, or so, wheelchair accessible tables. This is a unique, wonderful, vegan eatery. If you 're in DC, don 't miss it.
I happened to find them by chance when googling vegan food near me while in DC. Excellent breakfast items. The avocado toast was outstanding and the vegan waffles were amazing as they were sprinkled with fresh fruit to top it off. Highly recommended!
Been here early so I was able to have a brief chat to the owner. Very good, zingy “berry immune” liquid meal for breakfast, along with a “lemon ginger cooler” and a hot “royal breakfast tea”. Lovely calm style with no tables inside but bar tables at the windows with bar stools. Nice and not dominant music as well. I also had to try the “Avocado Herb Toast”. It was fantastic! I am usually not a fan of Oregano, but here it was subtle and lovely. Lovely calm style with no tables inside but bar tables at the windows with bar stools. Nice and not dominant music as well.
