Contribuisci feedbackWhere do I start? I expected more based on the some of the reviews and the website. Party of 2-Ordered 1 fish and grits w/ a side of eggs and 1 chicken and waffles. Positive: Food was made to order and fresh. The restaurant was very clean. All mealsare prepared in to go containers even if you dine in. Negative: Upon receiving the meals, the food items were of a differenttemperature. The protein was piping hot and the grits and eggs were cold. The catfish was very salty. I will definitely revisitthis location in hopes of a better experience. I think with few tweaks, this could be a great establishment.
My friend took me here for a early bday brunch while visiting DMV area. The Salmon n grits was ok but the fish portion was so small..it's mainly Grits scallions lol..That was the only thing on menu NOT fried. They have NO healthy choices on the menu..All grease cardiac arrest food. Even the grits seemed to have grease on the sides of the meal I believe the salmon wasfried too ..tho I was tryna order salmon to avoid grease . The blueberry cheesecake was Bussing I enjoyed it more than theactual meal . It's just to greasy for the health conscious in this age time, all restaurants should offer HEALTHY OPTIONS toeat .No customer service make sure they give you all the items you ordered before leaving .. Pics are of The Crab hash myfriend had .., my salmon n grits
Cozy, clean, a little loud due to being right on a busy road, but great food and great staff. Friendly, helpful, and the food is amazing. We (4) shared the Fried Chicken Sandwich, Fried Fish Sandwich, Rumchata French Toast, and a Blueberry CobblerCheesecake dessert. Good soft drinks (Coca-Cola machine) and good coffee. This place is a gem.
Food was delicious. The space was not as expected. Google pics may be for a different location or venue. The photos I seen had a much larger space a bar etc. Even the outdoor photos of the building placed the restaurant in a different location than itactually was I'm not sure if this is due to it having moved locations. The actual venue has a fewer seats. I ordered to go dueto the limited space. The staff was very professional and accommodating. I will definitely return but more than likely for aTogo order again.
*NOTE* Dining room situation is like fast casual vibes there is no table service. You go to the counter and order in front. There are NOT many tables. Either come early, ready to wait until there is an opening, or take you to go. There is no vs. going option everyone gets their food in plastic to go containers in a bag. My friends and I were there at 11:20. For the context, it opens on Saturday at 11 a.m. All tables were filled. Luckily, after a little waiting, a table opened for us four. We ordered the Chicken Sandwich with Hot Honey Lemon Pepper Sauce. That's why we were warned that the order lasts 30 minutes. I guess there was a high demand for fried chicken... We also ordered Crab Hash and Shrimp and Grits. The Crab Hash was amazing!!!! All right. Definitely recommend. My friends also loved the shrimps and grottos. Despite catering to go containers, the presentation was breathtaking. You could say how good it will be from the beginning. My chicken sandwich that came with Fritten was delicious. I fired the hot honey limonz pepper sauce. It was 't TOO spicy, just enough for a kick, which is great because I'm pretty sensitive to spicy. One was the sandwich basically had 3 delicate looking chicken pieces. It wasn't like a big piece of chicken. That made it really hard to get and eat like a regular sandwich. Also it had only 2 small pimples at the bottom of the sandwich. All this to say, I ate the chicken with fork and knife instead of eating sandwich style with hands. Nevertheless, it was one of the tenderest roasted chicken with so fantastic sauce that I really rate it 10/10 food. The waiting period was long (and when I wanted to get ketchup, I had to wait more than 5 minutes because NO ONE was in the register and did not know where they were. I'm guessing somewhere in the kitchen? You were really busy. Not counting the service that is very minimal to begin what is expected is milk honey food 10/10!
