If they are busy shopping for food, the last thing they want to do is to make even about cooking, prepping and eating when they are hungry. problem solved! order a bowl of their choice and they are set for dinner or lunch! I love all organic ingredients here for juices, chalk bowls or salads. they also have muffins and suppe. they also make a cauliflower steak and sometimes have tacos and vegan nachos! I have starved to think all! this caffe is a great tasty when they buy for food, then they take themselves in a dae to this place! the food is so fresh, it is wonderful double tasty! all dressings are vegan. it's amazing. opt for the chimichurri or the criminal vinaigrette. this is my fav! the garlic infused dressing will probably kill a dozen vampired, but is good. love this place!
Free parking in the attached garage (level 3) and the naked lunch cafe (inside the grocery store) has huge portions for such a fair price for dc, especially when considering that it is all organic. I have the lin bowl ( rice, tofu, seeweed, kimchi, spruten, mushrooms, and many sweet) for $8.75 and it was so big and fill that I could only eat half, so it turned into 2 meal times! I do not know elsewhere in dc that they can order organic vegan healthy foods at this amount for this price! some bowls have a and/or cheese, check them safely.
I've been shopping in MOM for years. It is the only food chain in the area where all products are organic. No sorting threw the fruit and vegetables to separate conventional organic ones. My favorite is the DC location. Not only because it only happens to be in my neighborhood, but because it is an in-store food juice bar, where you are from a delicious range of steam bowls, soups, salads, sandwiches and juices (all organic). It is my 'go to' place for vegan and whole food, vegetable options. They call it Naked Lunch. If you stop, check your cauliflower steak. It's good. Last but not least a scream-out to MOM's staff/person. They are all polite, knowledgeable and accommodating. Make sure your shopping experience is a pleasure.
This is the most spacious feeling natural food store local chain in DC, and I love it. It is part of a chain of large grocery stores that you can rely on for healthier choices and eating various veg foods. You have ridiculously spacious Aisles, where 2 cars and people can comfortably fit! There is everything you can imagine from production to chocolate to bars to add coffee to wine frozen goods to gluten-free raw to baked goods to baked goods ingredients to baked goods to household cleaning to accompanying animals does not need milk to juice to gift items to toilet items whatever! I love the bulk materials and herbs most, and then the beautiful products with a local focus. Fresh is the name of the game, and at affordable prices, better than some other small chain markets. Even better- Naked Lunch?! Before or instead of shopping, pick up a salad to steal your pleasure, check a seasonal special, order soup a freshly squeezed juice at a price! It is 100% organic at Naked Lunch and 100% vegetarian. It is so good and the prices are quite reasonable, but for organic they are great! This jewel of a store is now out of the way... Of most parts of DC, you might want to go elsewhere, but I'm going to go here instead of others. So many great decisions!
