My daughter used to live within walking distance of this restaurant and we used to frequent it often before it closed. We had a wonderful experience back then. However, today was our first visit since it reopened and it was very disappointing. My wife and I ordered the tuna melt, which was visually unappealing and downhill from there in terms of taste. Our grandson had a scrambled egg on a toasted bun and didn't eat any of it. Our other grandson had a pastry that was two days old and it was just okay. We were there on Saturday, November 12th around 12:30 and there was no discount for the old pastry.
I had the most delicious iced cappuccino here! Many tasty coffee options to pick from, as well as baked goods, tea, and kombucha!
With the original in Woodley Park, this location is Open City's second. Located inside a historic building on the grounds of the National Cathedral, here's my experience after visiting on a Monday morning: 1) Food: My five-year-old daughter and I stopped in for a snack after playing at the nearby Beauvoir Playground. She ordered a plain bagel with plain cream cheese and devoured it! My cinnamon swirl sweet bread was great! 2) Drinks: Their chair latte is still among
The place is viewed from the vast church. We had a great time eating and drinking there and enjoying the view! It is clean and nice. The staff is friendly and so kind! I would come again to this place. I recommend you to visit this place and have some relaxing time ????????
