Shaw's Tavern - Washington

Omg YUM. We came for dinner and my husband got the jambalaya and I got the braised short rib mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was AMAZING... like a real symphony of surprising and delicious flavors. My husband said the jambalaya was very good also. We will definitely be back!

We tried Shaw Tavern on a very cold and snowy Sunday afternoon. Despite the snow, the restaurant was still busy and there was a 30-40 minute wait. Once we finally got seated, the service was pretty quick. Water came immediately, followed by mimosas which were good. For entrees we had the shrimp and grits, the ham and cheese omelette (substitute sausage for the ham) and the vegetable omelet with potatoes. The potatoes were the most flavorful part of the meal! Solid brunch with unlimited mimosas as an option! The atmosphere is trendy and the service was fantastic. You have the option to dine inside or outside and you cannot go wrong either way. Cheers to the server that made the experience that much better I forget his name but he held the fort.

Decent spot, food price was okay. Atmosphere music was good and heaters in the closed outside was a plus.
