You wait in line and order your food and everything is bagged up to go. You can however find a table and eat in as well. They were out of a few menu items. No more pork chops and limited fried chicken pieces left. Being close to closing time, we understood. Got the smothered chicken over rice and collard greens, baked beans, Mac and cheese. We all agreed that the food tasted good. There was not a large portion of chicken and rice but the other sides had generous helpings. However, the price is a little too high in our opinion. $21 for a meal and two sides that is served in a to go box with plastic utensils (cafeteria style) Might not be as bad if you live nearby and you were taking this back to your place but we were looking for a more dine in restaurant experience. Glad we tried it. The food was good. Not sure if this will be on the list of places we really want to return to anytime soon.
Food was exceptionally good. Large portions, enough for 2 people to share. Food a bit salty. No servers on the day I went; however, was able to seat myself. Would go back when visiting the DMV again.
There is one one thing that should be done. I ordered the croaker, but it was full of scales. Overall everything was great
Amazing cinnamon cornbread muffins! Flavorful crab cake and the best chicken and waffles
Average soul food place. The mac n cheese was super salty and gummy. The food was just okay. The fried green tomato were good. Our waiter, Charles was great and the atmosphere welcoming.
