Okay, so I have given this place two official chances and both times, with two different servers it was an epic fail. First, the good. The interiors are gorgeous. They have done a fantastic job reinventing the hotel lobby the space the Sally is in. It’s modern elegant has a great first class feel and screams chic hotel lobby bar. The bathrooms are clean well lit. The food itself is tasty the drinks are cold, as is the service. First time was just for cocktails before an event at the Anderson house. We were scoffed at by the server for only ordering drinks, in a hotel bar. They had no idea what cremé de violet was. We felt very unwelcome and were constantly upsold, but not in a positive manner. Overall we were annoyed but not enough to not come back. We once again tried the Sally as we had another event at the Anderson house just this week. We made a reso @5 for when they open, but no one was ready for us. There was no bartender anxiously awaiting his first guest. No server to direct you where to sit. We sat in some couches waiting for the staff to show. When someone did arrive she had no tie on and seemed annoyed she had to be there. We told her we had a reso and asked if we should sit somewhere in particular she just pointed to a table. This was Saturday the 20th. The heat wave weekend we really needed some water to start before we ordered a drink, we shouldn’t have done that it made the server even more annoyed. She tried to push certain drinks on us, had no idea what Pimms she had no idea what items were GF which scared the member in the party with dietary restrictions. I saw a chef with an apron on in the dining area (health code violation) and just walked right up to him and asked. He was visibly annoyed too. Establishments in 2019 should have this ready to go or a sep menu. The portions were small. She was annoyed we asked for sep checks as well. Just overall a terrible experience which is sad bc it’s so close to a place we frequent often.
Sally was amazing! Perfect spot for a date night with delicious food...even if my "date" was actually my wife!
We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. It was our third night in town and we decided to try the home hotel. We were very pleased with the lovely atmosphere, attentive service (thank you Marc), and amazing food. I highly recommend this place.
