The cookies are the perfect balance between crispy exterior and chewy interior. They're also a generous size. All the flavors are really tasty!

I had heard my friends rave about the ice cream at this shop for weeks, so I decided to check it out for myself. The selection of flavors is impressive, but I was eager to try the one everyone had been talking about. I ordered two scoops of cookie dough ice cream in a cup. I almost went for the strawberry flavor, but at the last minute, I decided on the cookie dough. The place was quiet—there wasn't a soul in the entire GW neighborhood—making it easy and quick to place my order. The friendly barista behind the counter served me two generous scoops of cookie dough. Before I knew it, I was out the door, heading towards the metro and savoring my Friday treat!

I dropped by for a late-night snack and ended up getting cookies for my family. I chose an open-faced ice cream sandwich, which I think is the best option since the cookies aren't soft enough to bite through without squeezing out all the ice cream. I got ginger, oatmeal, double chocolate, chocolate chip, Heath bar bits, and snickerdoodle cookies. The favorites were the double chocolate, ginger, and Heath. I just wish the snickerdoodle had a bit more cinnamon flavor.

I've been a fan of Captain Cookie for a few years now. While the freshness of the cookies can be inconsistent, it's still a great value considering the generous portions. The ice cream is consistently creamy and delicious, too.
