Congressional Liquor Deli

Hidden away, this place is a gem. If you find yourself near the capital, close to the House office buildings, make sure to check it out. It’s a great spot to recharge. There's a fantastic deli upstairs with seating, but I recommend stepping just a short block out the front door to enjoy one of two tranquil parks nearby.

Fantastic deli! It's tucked away, so you might not realize it's here, but it's consistently a great choice for lunch on the Hill. They prepare the sandwiches right in front of you and even carry Boar's Head products. The liquor store downstairs is excellent for picking up supplies for last-minute parties or long evenings on the Hill. This place is definitely a hidden gem!

There's an excellent selection available here. The prices for certain liquors are competitive, matching or beating those found in other stores. I've heard great things about the deli, but I haven't had the chance to visit during the work week.

Great little hidden Deli upstairs, and one of the best chicken salad sandwiches around! Big portion, quality Boar's Head meat/cheese, and friendly staff! Plus a large liquor selection, can't go wrong!

Great selection of alcohol! They even have a deli upstairs that's not half bad. Very friendly staff.
