El Pollo Sabroso - Washington DC

We visit this restaurant frequently to satisfy our cravings for Peruvian chicken! Their green sauce is the best I've tasted in the city, and they let you choose between light or dark meat for each serving size (quarter, half, or whole). The staff is incredibly friendly, and they always provide generous portions of sauces and sides!

The pollo a la brasa and salsas here are fantastic! The fried yucca is among the crispiest you'll find in the city. I highly recommend eating in—takeout or delivery just won't compare.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The prices are incredibly reasonable, the food is authentically delicious, and the service is very welcoming. I dined here earlier today and enjoyed two pupusas with cabbage. They also offer a great protein option, like a quarter chicken, for just $7-8. Although I could only afford the pupusas, the staff member at the counter kindly offered me a free bottle of water when I mentioned I was thirsty, without trying to charge me extra. I would definitely return to this place!

Love it. Great prices at this hole in the wall it's so hard to find but it's worth the effort. It can easily be lost in the great selection of Latino foods even on that block but it's definitely worth the trip.
