Contribuisci feedbackLounge 201 has undergone significant changes. Although the new cocktail menu doesn't measure up to the previous one, the food has improved and is now more affordable. However, the service can be a bit challenging when the venue is busy. If you have a chance, definitely try their sweet potato fries—they're absolutely fantastic!
I recently visited 201 Bar for the first time after an event at the Dirksen Senate Office Building. I was with colleagues, so our drinks and appetizers were complimentary. Perhaps that's why the drinks felt a bit weak, but the appetizers—spring rolls, pizza, and caprese kabobs—were quite tasty. I also appreciated the decor and the overall ambiance. In conclusion, I would definitely return if given the chance.
Enjoyable atmosphere for Husker games. Family friendly, but bar food is a little pricey. Also, NO changing facilities (Koala Care Changing Station) for those with little ones still in diapers.
For the professional suit and tie crowd. A little calmer than some other Hill bars. But, let a snow day come and it becomes a club. Overall, a decent stop.
I enjoyed an expertly crafted Old Fashioned at this bar. The staff was both professional and friendly, and the establishment was clean and well-lit. They offer a great selection of whisky. This is likely the best place to grab a drink before heading to the train station. I haven't had the opportunity to try the food yet, but I definitely plan to. It's easy to spot from the street.
