The oysters were fantastic and incredibly fresh. We also enjoyed the cheese sampler, fried calamari, and baked oysters—everything was absolutely delicious. The service was prompt and friendly. We were delighted to have chosen this wonderful restaurant to wrap up our busy day in Washington, D.C.
I absolutely loved my experience! I sampled a dozen oysters, and each one was more delicious than the last. The wine prices were very reasonable; I've seen the same options priced higher at some wine discount stores in New York. The fish portion was incredibly generous. When they served it on two plates, we thought they had mistakenly given us two servings, but to our surprise, that was indeed one full serving. If you have the chance to take advantage of the happy hour for oysters, don’t hesitate!
Make a reservation! This restaurant is a must-visit when you’re in DC. The seafood is incredibly fresh, and the flavors are absolutely delightful. The dishes are prepared quickly and taste amazing. The portion sizes are quite generous. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of service, especially given how busy and crowded it was. Be sure to check out the happy hour, especially for the oyster deal. I'm so glad we decided to order dessert, even though we were already full from the main course!
Had an awesome time here as a late night/ early next day stop. The food was quite nice and fairly refined, especially at such a late hour! The atmosphere was popping as well which made it more enjoyable. Service was very friendly and they had great oysters. Fresh complimentary bread never hurts either…
This place is one of the more famous restaurants in DC. I visited this spot during brunch and it was packed. I would definitely recommend making a reservation for both weekend dinner and brunch services. I started with New England clam chowder and some salad dish. For entrees, I got eggs benedict and catfish. All the dishes I ordered were pretty good. But, I definitely enjoyed their desserts more even though I was pretty full before it. Their key lime pie and salted caramel bread pudding were both amazing! Staffs were very accommodating and attentive during the whole service. I’m planning to visit this restaurant and will get some oysters and burgers next time. I heard they are pretty good. I definitely recommend this place to celebrate any special occasions.
