I took one star away because I wanted a reindeer hotdog! it was only listed on the children's menu. The very nice girl at the counter said the reindeer sausage....I said no....the hotdog....when I got my food it was the sausage.....too tired to take it back. All in all we'd go back next time we are passing thru/
Awesome experience here. The ladies were so welcoming and the place was very clean, even in the bathrooms. I ordered a reindeer dog and got a cup of chili to turn it into a chili dog. Their sweet potato fries were nice and fresh, not greasy but a delicious crisp on the outside and perfect in the middle. The toppings for their burgers and hotdogs are kept fresh and in a refrigerated stand so you can add a bunch of stuff to your hot dog or burger. This joint is a staple in Wasilla and so glad we stopped by. We felt very welcomed here and also appreciate the military discount with ID.
A nice surprise for Wasilla. A really low key place to eat, and it's basically a self-serve after you place your order at the counter. Prices on the website are currently not accurate; a side is now included in the price, and a cheeseburger meal is $12 or $13. They also have hotdog/sausage meals (including a sign) for about $10, and kids meals are about $6. Sides include soup of the day, salad of the day, fries, or sweet potato fries. Add your own toppings at their fixins bar, or whatever people in Alaska would call it. I had the jalapeno burger, which was nice and juicy, but the fried jalapenos are so thin that you can't really taste anything! The report on the reindeer sausage was that it was awesome. Counter service was friendly and very helpful. Just a heads up that halibut comes in frozen. Nice locally owned place to add to your Wasilla repertoire or if you are just stopping through!
Super hot and fresh sweet potato fries. all food made to order. I got the classic burger! yummy! and lots of condiments that are DIY! very nice couple who run the place. service may not be the fastest but wonderful people and legit quality of ingredients. We randomly looked for a place to eat after our hike at Hatcher Pass. Hungry and cranky when we walked into the restaurant, but super happy and tummy-full when we walked out. They do close a bit early around 7pm I think. Chili was running low for side dish when we got there. but that's okay. More reason to go back and try it.
Located in the Value Village Mall . The stuffed jalapeño chili dog is fabulous with homemade chili. My husband had the buffalo burger which was fabulous. They also offer gluten-free. This is on the top of my list for lunch or dinner.
