Settlers Bay Lodge - Wasilla

The food at this restaurant is amazing and the staff is very friendly! I appreciate that they offer a vegan option on their menu.

We enjoyed the medium rare steaks and the butter that came with the bread. The calamari tasted good, but was slightly overcooked. However, we still give it a 5-star rating because our server, Matthew, was excellent.

The view from inside is beautiful, the service is fast, and the food is excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a five-star dining experience with a relaxed dress code - whether it be shorts and a tank top or more formal attire. The food arrives quickly after ordering, allowing you to enjoy your meal in no time.

The dining experience was excellent, the servers were fantastic, and the restaurant itself was wonderful. However, the manager, Jay, was extremely rude to our group. We wanted to combine two tables so we could sit together, but he refused. It was a Tuesday night in Alaska and the restaurant was not busy. I was surprised that he couldn't accommodate such a simple request to make us happy. It seemed like his ego got in the way and he wanted to assert his authority instead of being accommodating. This was the only negative aspect of our visit. Everything else was fantastic. Hopefully, we will return as a group soon and hopefully Jay will be more pleasant the next time. Jay, if you're reading this, please try to be kinder in the future. It is 2022.

We stopped here, just a cruise ship in whittier, tied to a motor lock, denali. they have a sandwich buffet for a few hundred people who was beautiful. simple, but beautiful. very fresh, beautifully presented and the server was very helpful. I wish we had more time to run this a bit, but unfortunately we had to come back to the motor-kuppe to continue our long journey. loved the filled bear in the lobby!
