Sonic Drive-in - Wasilla

Can’t give a review as me and my friends walked in and then pressed black button as requested. Then we proceeded to stand in the empty dining room while the crew that worked there stood in the back talking and not even coming out to see what we needed. For 10 minutes, we stood in there waiting for help. Nothing. There was no one in the drive thru or the dining room. No wonder it’s empty, customer service was horrible.

It can be quite challenging to determine if the dine-in option is available. However, the food is consistently excellent.

As a New Jersey native, I have a special fondness for blue coconut slush with Nerds. I haven’t visited a Sonic since moving here last year, and this location definitely lived up to my expectations. My slush was perfect, and my friend enjoyed his Oreo Blast. We also tried the new buffalo chicken dip bites, which were served hot, fresh, and delicious, so we had to order more before we left. I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars only because I miss when the staff came out on roller skates!

Although they seemed to be a bit short-staffed at the moment, with all their pull-in spots unavailable, the food at the drive-thru was hot, and my Sonic Blast didn’t even start to melt. The food was fantastic, especially after a long day of cleaning. The employees I interacted with were very professional and friendly. They even offered my pit bull a Pup Cup, which is soft-serve vanilla ice cream, and he loved it! Honestly, as long as you can be patient—because it can be quite chaotic when a place is understaffed—the Sonic in the valley feels like home to me, and I’m originally from Texas!

Went to order and all I was told was we aren’t doing this we aren’t doing that. Like what are you doing so I can know if I need to go to a different location to get food. Or maybe if your not doing anything then change the hours of operation so people know when you are actually doing something.
