The staff was very pleasant and the food was great. Inside was super clean, freshly painted with calm music playing. Visiting from NY and some other visitors recommended Berties. Definitely a must if your in Waterbury.

I was told Bertie’s had the best authentic Jamaican ??food. So I went to give it try!Oxtails Fresh Rice was good beef patty hot overall the food experience was 10/10. Clean restaurant with fresh food. JUST TO ADD, the pineapple coconut ? cake, is to die for ! Cake is fluffy tasteful. Remained me of island island.

OMG! I have not had ackee and salt fish in so long and I am so glad I found this little gem. It was so delicious and a great price too, worth the trip from Meriden. I will definitely be back.

One of the best Jamaican Restaurants in Waterbury. Good food great price. 10/10!
