I went to this restaurant for lunch with a friend, and I ordered a chicken salad sandwich, coffee, and carrot cake. The sandwich had very little chicken salad in it, and the carrot cake tasted stale, like it was 2 or 3 days old. The waitress did not return to check if we wanted anything else, and we had to order more coffee and cake from another waitress after being ignored for about 15 minutes. I also bought a cupcake to take home for my wife, but it was also stale. The total cost of the meal was $19.00 without tip, so I don't plan on returning anytime soon.
Great food and the desserts were wonderful! Waitress was charming and the whole staff were very helpful for our girls ride.
It is evident that this restaurant is a favorite among locals. The food is simple yet with a hint of creativity. The prices are fair and the service is both attentive and welcoming. It is no surprise that this spot is well-loved by the local community.
My partner and I chose this location to eat brunch on Sunday morning. Sundays, is the day we chase for new places to eat eggs benedict. As we drove into the small picteresque village and saw the strorefront, I felt we had chosen the right place. As we entered the restaurant, I could't help to notice the whimsical decor and warm atmosphere, We sat down at a table of our choice, where we selected a table right across the pastry counter. The staff greeted us as we came in, without delay handed us the menus, proceeding to take our coffee order. I ordered the Christmas blend which I found rich in taste, while my partner chose the house blend which he found equally delicous. We both ordered the eggs benedict, served with a side order of hasbrowns smothered in a cheese sauce. The eggs bennie were perfect, runny as they should be, generous serving of hollandaise to top it off. The first mouthful, I took of the hasbrowns was like a dream, rich and cheesy, just like eating a mac and cheese but with potatoes. The whole experience was amazing. The staff stopped by the table to ask us if everything was ok, yes! we both replied, it's delicous. We paid our bill but not before we ordered two desserts to go, my partner chose the rum and eggnog cheesecake, while I chose the brownie fudge bar. OMG, decadence to perfection. This is worth the trip and certainly we'll be back, as so far it's the best eggs bennie we've had, hands down! Kudos to the chef, the staff and owner!!
