Davy Mac's - Waterford

Yesterday afternoon, I went to the restaurant with my son, who was wearing tracksuit pants and a T-shirt. We were told that he couldn’t enter in sportswear, which seems a bit outdated for 2022, especially considering this is what many young men typically wear. Given that this establishment is still trying to recover from Covid, it's disappointing. We decided to head to the nearby Revolution instead, where we enjoyed some cocktails (and where the manager, Jim Gordon, recently won the Bar Manager of the Year award). I have no intention of returning to Davy Mac's again.

I really enjoy the bar and the staff is fantastic. It's a small yet cozy spot for a drink, and I highly recommend trying the cocktail menu.

This is a fantastic little cocktail bar—truly a hidden gem! The staff are exceptional.

We brought a hen party to Davy Macs for the private cocktail class and it was fantastic. It was held upstairs in a private space so it was really excellent for a gathering like this. Clive, our barman, taught us how to make the best cocktails and was a wonderful host. A real hidden treat and great value.
