The Fat Angel - Waterford

Went here with a couple of friends and we ordered bottles of wine and a couple of ales all night until closing as well as a meat and cheese platter. There's a nice choice of wine and nibbles. They were extremely busy but our cheese and meat platter came out quickly it was a big portion and worked well when split between 4 and it came with some nice toasted bread however not a lot of variety in the cheese which might be because it was so busy and maybe the majority was gone. It's lovely inside and there was a good selection of seating outside. There is only one toilet which did cause quite a bit of queuing and I don't think the toilet is wheelchair friendly. The service maybe could have been a bit friendlier but I am putting it down to being so busy!

I stumbled upon this charming restaurant while exploring the city and what a discovery!! Located on cathedral square with lovely, relaxed outdoor seating perfect for enjoying the sunshine, which we were lucky enough to have today. The wine list is excellent and very reasonably priced, and they offer delicious nibbles to go with your drink. We ordered a tasty cheese platter that came with fresh baked sourdough bread, and the best part was that it could easily serve four people and was only €8!! The service was warm, friendly, and polite...I could go on! Needless to say, if I find myself in this area again soon, I will definitely be returning for more of their delicious wine... and cheese!!

Just had a delicious soup for lunch at this restaurant. The Chorizo chickpea in a tomato base was so tasty. I highly recommend it.
