The Waterford Tavern

I was here with a group of colleagues for a diner get together (15-ish people). And we basically got no service. We had to wait very long until somebody came to the table, half of the group went individually to the bar to get their drinks... Furthermore, the service that we got was rude and not appropriate. The food was alright, nothing bad to say about the kitchen. Nobody came to clean the table and nobody came to ask if we wanted deserts or coffee (which we do wanted). After an hour or so we asked and they only had sticky date pudding, but they were going to close anyways. When one of my colleagues asked if she could get a doggy bag to bring home half the dish she didn't ate, the waiter replied with: "Really?!" {frowned eyebrows/rolling eyes}... I will definitely never come back here..

The specials are okay for the price however the service is horrible. Staff ignore you and serve others without checking who's next in line. They have no manners and don't even say 'thank you'. They also just pass you your food without saying a word.

We visited in a group of 12 and all of us enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere. Burgers and sliders were great. The beef skewers are quite special. Friendly service and not a long wait for our meals. I will go back.

Title sums it up.Staff very good, informative and knowledgable.Looked and looked at the menu to find something that appealed but found it difficult. We are not fussy eaters, but do want value for money.My choice was the Fisher Burger which was very average and not a lot of imagaination gone into the preparation.My partner had the Morocan Kebab and said it was very bland with out much taste.Most good mains are well over $30.00 and "lighter snack meals" around $28.00. Portions looked big, but filled out with fries!!! Would have been nice to have seen some vegetables and or small salad rather than fries.Wine list good, but prices over the top compared to other locals.Not a lot of diners, I would say place was well under quarter full.Looks like we will be going back to our regular local Tavern....sorry guys we did give you a try but will not be back.
