My favourite ramen place, food is always amazing and fresh! Love the green onion pancakes and the curry croquettes for appetizer, and pork bone ramen or spicy red dragon ramen, love the sukiyaki beef don as well (pictured with review) Caring and quick service as well! <3Food: 5/5
Very nice Japanese ramen. Glad to see this in Waterloo and so close to the campus. Good noodle portion.Food: 5/5
Ordered the Kyushu Mayu Tonkotsu ramen and was not disappointed. Threw in some extra egg and some extra noodle too. The broth is delicious, the meat savoury, and the noodles were perfect. The portion size was huge and the extras had me struggling to finish. It was worth it though. I'll definitely be back for another bowl. 10/10.Food: 5/5
Asakusa receives a 3.7-star rating in this food review. The restaurant offered food with good flavour, we ordered miso ramen, red dragon ramen, chicken skewer and grilled gyoza, all good flavour. Loved the chili powder condiment on the table! However, there were several issues that affected the overall experience. The egg in the ramen was quite overcooked and rubbery, not matching the menu or previous customer photos. The chicken skewer garnishes were a bit scattered and the sauce was thick and gluey, also a bit cold but again different to customer photos from as early as a month ago so some consistency issues as far as the visual goes. The gyoza's crispy web was soggy around the edge and undercooked. Additionally, the appetizers arrived half way through finishing our ramen, and the service was friendly but not attentive. Despite the drawbacks, we will still visit again because I believe they can do better. Those ramune drinks were fun and enjoyable as well.Parking: It's in University Plaza so it's busy!
