University Gardens - Waterloo

Found this little place @ the plaza about 3 years ago when we moved into the area. Have picked up food here once every few months since then, and always was very happy with the service, and the food.We call in about 20 minutes beforehand, and food has always been ready upon arrival. Have a few friends from out of town, and when they come for a visit, they usually request we get the food from here, as it is quite a bit better than from their area.Have also dined in a few times. Not many tables, but never have had a problem with seating.

Stopped in there as it was close to where we were and ordered take-out. Ordered beef fried rice and got chicken fried rice...it was tasteless. Also ordered chicken lo mein....I am sure that I did not get more then 5 small pieces of chicken and even with soya sauce on it there was no flavor. Will not go back again

Typical fare can be found here. The accommodations are modest, and sometimes chilly in the winter. This is a small strip mall restaurant that just happens to serve the best wonton soup I have ever had. It is worth a trip for that alone.

I've had takeout a few times from University Gardens and have always been satisfied. Fast, fresh and tasty with friendly staff. You can also get a well priced combo plate for lunch, which tastes better than what you would get at the mall.

I love this place. The people are kind and give great service whether you are dining in or taking out. I would NOT recommend asking for delivery. This takes an exceptionally long time to arrive. The menu is huge and the food is great!
