Contribuisci feedbackI explained the situation to the staff at the cafe, but they seemed uninterested and even rude. After ordering food and coffee, I was left waiting for over 30 minutes without any sign of my order. When I informed the staff that I needed to leave for a ferry, they showed little concern. I ended up leaving without any food, feeling disappointed by the lack of service and communication between the two connected establishments. In the end, my experience was extremely unsatisfactory and I left without any food, apology, or refund. This lack of care and professionalism has led me to decide to take my business elsewhere in the future. Despite the restaurant having ample space and appearing to be not very busy, the overall service was unacceptable. I regret that I cannot give this establishment a positive review, as someone in the hospitality industry myself. The lack of respect and disregard for customer satisfaction was truly disappointing. I would not recommend dining at this location in the future, as my experience was less than satisfactory.
I have never encountered a more disheveled, hungover, and inept kitchen staff. It's possible they were still under the influence of drugs, given that one line cook was wearing a t-shirt that read 'Acid Hero'. Despite the menu claiming that the meal comes with maple syrup, they were actually serving Aunt Jemima's instead. It's a shame to think of unsuspecting tourists being deceived by this scam and thinking they're getting authentic Canadian maple syrup. The only silver lining was our server, Shonoa, who was incredibly helpful, kind, and skilled at her job. I hope to never have an experience like this again at an unprofessional and inauthentic establishment like this one ever again. It's a disgrace to the historical significance that Waterton National Park represents.
We visited this restaurant for breakfast in late September and it seemed like they were operating on limited hours. There was no indoor dining available and the menu options were scarce. I ordered a gluten-free breakfast panini for $16 and was disappointed to find that the bread was very dry. Despite the website claiming to cater to hikers, they were unable to make me a sandwich to take on a hike.
You just have to check this place out when you're in Waterton: it's low-key, delicious food, fabulous people, great deal. 10/10 recommend.
Food was meh but 5 stars for the coffee and early morning Ki vibe party.
