Intelligentsia Coffee - Watertown

The coffee here is fantastic, particularly the specialty cast supernatants and cold brews. I enjoyed the Honduran coffee today, and it was absolutely delicious. There are plenty of seats available indoors, outdoor seating options, and ample parking both on the property and on the street. It's never too crowded when I visit, making it a great spot to work or read.

I had a truly beautiful latte, and it lived up to its description with wonderfully crafted foam. It was very enjoyable. The foam stayed intact throughout my drink, right until the last sip—I loved that! At many places, the top foam disappears within 30 seconds, so I really appreciated this. I could really taste the espresso's boldness, which was fantastic, something that doesn't always occur in other establishments.

While I didn’t visit to study, I noticed many people were doing just that, so if you're looking for a coffee shop to hit the books, this is a great option. The shop is conveniently located near the BlueBike station at Star Market, making it a perfect spot if you enjoy biking and coffee. The outdoor seating area is quite spacious as well.

June 18 and June 25, 2021 updates. They have eliminated their outdoor seats in the parking lot, and it is only the benches along the side 3 small tables at the front. You now have a few tables in the front and rear interior and masking is optional. They continue to offer the excellent Avena Latte, and today I have it with milk instead of the proposed oat milk. It's still delicious! Here you will find details. 30 May 2021 Update I tried her flat white, this is the new 8 ounces latte in many barista places. But Intelligentsia makes it different, they add 4 ounces of milk only to the double shot of espresso, and it is in a smaller cup of about 6 ounces. So it is more towards a cortado, compared to many shops that make it a full 8 ounces. I had it with the shot of vanilla syrup and that took the edge of the hardness of espresso for me. Pretty delicious! 31 October 2021 Update I tried the excellent Avena Latte Seasonal Drink, the Black Cat Latte made with oat milk and seasoned with ginger, cinnamon, vanilla and orange peel. I have the optional scattering of Cayenne. I was skeptical for oat milk, but Barista said it was a core part of the drink so I accepted it. And the drink was excellent! The Cayenne initially bites hard and then becomes a beautiful background ring. I love the mix of spices as a beautiful autumn drink, and it is an unusual and tasty alternative to the typical pumpkin spice Latte offers. They have interior seats as well as the two beautiful outdoor seats and a few benches. My favourite is her mocha, which has a beautiful dry darker chocolate taste and is one of the best mochas in my area. I am also a big fan of her ham and cheese croissant from Forge bakery, which has seasoned everything on it. Very tasty and tasty and definitely best divided so you don't all these calories yourself! If you drive by car, your highway is a way to the north, from Mount Auburn Street to Belmont Street. I can often find parking in their 5 off-spots.

Support your local coffee shop! These folks know how to pull a espresso and offer a wide selection of local baked goods as well! Love the ambiance, can be a little cold in the back forty during the winter months.
