Maggie's Ontheriver - Watertown

During our time in Watertown, this place became one of our favorites. The service is usually excellent, and they offer a wide variety of burgers and beers. If you find yourself in the area, I highly recommend stopping by to see for yourself!

We decided to begin with the fried cheese curds, which are a local classic. They were cooked perfectly to my taste, and I really enjoyed the homemade dipping sauce that accompanied them. My boyfriend ordered the Diablo Benny with a side of corned beef hash, and he thoroughly enjoyed it, finishing it off quickly. We both liked the corned beef hash as well. For my main, I chose the Ghost Reaper Burger, and I absolutely loved it. It was massive, and as someone who enjoys spicy food, I appreciated that they didn't hold back on the heat—it was a fiery way to start my day! I would definitely return the next time I'm in Watertown. I love that the porch overlooks the Black River, and the decor has a cozy pub vibe that really resonated with me. Instagram: @KFitzEats

This is my fourth visit to the restaurant, and after reading some negative reviews, I can't help but think there must be a misunderstanding! There are so many beverage options, not to mention a wide variety of entrees to choose from! Our service was quick and friendly, and the food was not only tasty but also unique—just picture duck bacon on pizza! I’ve consistently experienced excellence here.

I love Maggie's. The food is always hot, delicious and plentiful. Great for pub food. The staff are personable. I've been here for dinner with parents, date nights, and nights out and have never been disappointed. Great view on the river. The patio is beautiful!

Nice bar and grill style restaurant. Attentive service, diverse menu and good food. Tons of choices of beers and wines for all tastes. They apparently have roughly 50 plus beers on tap. After we ate dinner outside we sat inside where we enjoyed the live music. They were great.
