The Scrambled Yolk - Watertown

Lovely little place in Watertown. They'll cook your food how you'd like. Because they're extremely short staffed you need to make sure to ask for water or more drinks. But, the two servers who rotate in the mornings are sweet and makeup for the lack of staff, they do the best they can. Chicken Fried Steak is good. Farmhand Burger great, Hot Coco yum. Those are really good.

So...my spouse and I have been patrons of this facility since they opened and i have always loved everything about this restaurant. However this last experience has been the worst in the restaurant business i have had in years. The food was great...as expected. But the service was absolutely horrible! I could understand if the servers were slammed but it was a basic sunday brunch time clientele. We sat for exactly 1 1/2 hours before being served. I asked for coffee 5× before receiving a refill. Every waitress was only for themselves and refused to help any other area. I am so disappointed that this facility has gotten so bad as far as service

Great service! The restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch, but the food is quite good. If you're looking for a breakfast spot, it's definitely worth a visit!

However, there was an issue with ants. When we received our food, we went to grab some jams for our toast, only to find one of the jars was infested with ants as we peeled back the paper covering. We also noticed more ants on the table. When we reported this to our server, her response was, "I don’t know what I can do about it. I can tell you to take everything off all the tables, wash it thoroughly, and wipe down all the booths."

This is a decent spot for breakfast, and the food tastes good. However, the hash browns were dry and overcooked. The staff are friendly, but the service is quite slow, which occasionally made us feel overlooked or forgotten.
