Waverly Steakhouse Lounge - Watertown

It really depends on what you order at this restaurant. The prime rib is usually quite good—flavorful and tender. However, other entrees tend to be average at best; nothing particularly outstanding or memorable. Many of the dishes seem like they’re just heated and served, similar to what you could make at home. For instance, the chicken Alfredo has switched from using freshly grilled chicken breast to a mechanically processed, pre-cooked, frozen version, which makes it less flavorful and raises questions about its quality. This is especially disappointing considering the prices we pay for dining out. Like many establishments these days, this restaurant appears to be struggling with less experienced cooks and less attentive service, likely due to a shortage of qualified staff and a lack of care in food preparation.

I've been craving a good steakhouse lately, but I haven't found the right one yet. Four of us ordered the prime rib, which was decent, but we all experienced different flavors. My steak was rather bland, while one of my friends had a flavorful cut, which turned out to be the best of the group. The staff, as always, was fantastic and incredibly friendly. Just a heads up: the sides and appetizers come out piping hot, so be sure to let them cool down before digging in!

I sat in the dining room for 40 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. It was the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Overall, it was a good experience. The ribs are usually excellent, and the restaurant is famous for its prime rib. However, the service has been somewhat lacking due to a staffing shortage, which seems to be common these days.

At the Waverly Steakhouse, we consistently enjoy prompt and friendly service, along with outstanding food.
