All of the sides are incredible as well. I am so thankful to have this right off the highway. I was expecting to eat junk while traveling. This healthy and delicious meal hit the spot.
I will absolutely come back if I'm ever passing through Iowa again. Cannot say enough about this place. Vegan nut allergy friendly
This is a special place. It was the finale to a week long road trip that included lots of dining and I must say, it was one of my favorites. The concept is great: fixed menu item with balanced, healthy and flavorful homecooked meals. They had 1 dish on the menu with a main (chicken), multiple sides (rice, chickpeas, squash, dumplings and veggies). I felt like someone's gramma just made me lunch! Service style was similar to a casual dining/quick serve setting. Put in your order, grab a seat, they bring out your food, make sure you're doing great, then check up on you and bring you your check when you're done. Very casual and friendly. Long, community style tables for dining inside or picnic tables outside. Also a small gift shop with local goods from artists and craftsmen. Basically a restaurant quality but healthy, organic, homecooked meal, that you don't have to make yourself or clean up after. It's the sort of food where you could eat here every day and your doctor would love you for it. The world needs more of these!
Kismet that I glanced up at the sign for LT Organic Farm Restaurant driving on I-80 West! Road tripping back to California from Cleveland, I’m recovering from thoracic surgery and this is the nourishing food I crave and know is an integral component of the healing process. Nutrient dense food prepared by folks dedicated to their health the health of their community is a true gift. Great job, wonderful concept, thank you for all you do on the farm!
What a welcomed stop on our cross-country road trip! If you are like us and feel starved for vegetables and homemade, fresh food when doing a road trip, then absolutely stop here for a meal. There is a set menu each day based on what is in season and is veggie-forward with chicken that was so tender it fell off the bone. I opted out of a few of the sides due to a food intolerance, and they were so kind as to edit one side so I could still have it. It’s a perfect place to stretch your legs and the food is served promptly if you are looking for a delicious meal, but also to get back on the road. The family who runs this farm-restaurant are lovely, as well. 10/10!
